6 Novels You Must Read At Least Once

Novel To ReadI personally am a big fan of movies and I do occasionally read books and through books is when I can open my mind to more possibilities. So here I have compiled a list of books that you should read at least once.

  1. The Kite Runner by Khalid Hossaini

One of the best books I have ever read, it is a story about a boy living in Afghanistan during the period when it was free from Taliban and after they invaded the country. The boy lives through some disturbing stuff but eventually they move to America but there are things left behind he need to finish when he grows up.

  1. Number the Stars by Lois Lowry

The novel revolves around a Danish Christian girl named Annemarie and her best friends during the time of the Second World War. When Annemarie learns what the Nazis are doing to Jewish people Anne and her whole family go to great extents to make sure that the other Jewish people are safe and so is Anne’s friend.

  1. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

One of the classiest novel to have ever come, it discusses the topic of man who is rich is always in need of a wife if not married and from there on the novel starts. It tells the story about Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy who love each other but cannot seem to be together but it does have a happy ending.

  1. The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton

This one of the most different novel to come out in that time when romance novels were booming in from all the corridors. Hinton broke that pattern and made this novel which shows the life story of teenagers and their life style. The primary focus of the novel is that it is not easy being a teenager and all of us have to go through massive changes in life which makes us the person who we actually are.

  1. A Single Man by Christopher Isherwood

This is one of the best novels I have ever read and I have recommended this novel to people who do not value their life much. This novel is based on a single day in the life of George Falconer a middle aged English Professor, he is suffering from the loss of his partner and then later on he is shown the value of life though his friends and his class student. One of the best piece of literature.

  1. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

This is one of the best court room novels that I have ever read, the story is narrated by a six year old daughter of a lawyer who embarks on a case in which a black African American is accused of raping a white women. The great part of the story is it incorporates all sort of emotions in a single novel, it reaches out to racism, politics, and class. It also shows that how an American justice system does not always work in the favor of the innocent. The writer has also said to be making a prequel to it so it is a good start to read now.
